Oklahoma Teachers Hailed as Heroes – Tuesday, May 21, 2013, 1:30 PM

This week has been extremely difficult for the people of the State of Oklahoma. This article is meant to honor those heroes because of their bravery and selflessness.

President Obama mentions, “Our gratitude is with the teachers who gave their all to shield their children,” and praised them for their courage.

“We’re going to be fine, I’m protecting you,” Crosswhite recalled telling the students. “Then I said a few prayers: ‘God, please take care of my kids’ — and we’re fine.”

    • How great of you to say so. You would be surprised how resilient you become in the face of danger. Take a moment to look at the faces of those children. I see courage in their eyes. I see the love and support from all the people around them and that brings us hope.
